Pantry Palooza raises
funds for food security

The Gunnison Country Food Pantry held its Pantry Palooza on June 5th at the I Bar Ranch to raise funds to provide food assistance in the Gunnison Valley. The fundraising event featured plenty of fun, including a bouncy
house, a petting zoo from West Elk Equine, face painting, food, and live music from Alternative People. The organization hopes to raise $600,000 by the end of 2022. Last year, they were able to provide food assistance to over 2,000 residents.

For the second year in a row, the Gunnison Country Food Pantry will host a community Thanksgiving meal at the Fred Field Center on Nov. 28. Any and all who are craving a sense of connection during the holiday are encouraged to attend, regardless of individual food security needs. No registration or RSVP is required.
